Chapter 11
When Tony's number came up on your cell phone you almost didn't answer it. Against all logic and common sense you picked up. "Hello?"
"(name)!" Tony said. "I need you to come down to the Stark warehouses ASAP. I have a surprise for you."
"Tony," You rubbed your temples. "I don't have time for this. I don't like surprises, and I don't even know where the Stark Warehouses are."
"Don't worry your driver does. He should be there any second."
"Tony, I"
"Don't worry, I promise you'll like this surprise." There was a pause. "Please (name), just get in the car." It was eerie hearing him be sincere, sincerely asking for something, saying please.
What could you do when he said it like that? "Alright, just this once."
"Thank you, you won't be disappointed." Tony clicked off the line. You got up and looked out your little apartment window. Sure enough a sleek black car pulled out front and beeped it's horn once. You strapped on your heels and headed off down the stairs.
When you entered Stark's warehouse you saw something you certainly didn't expect, Jaclyn Bender and your old camera man.
"(Name)? What the hell are you doing here?" Jaclyn said.
"I was about to ask you the same thing."
"Well, obviously I'm here. It is the biggest news story of the year."
"What are you talking about?"
"She's talking about me." Tony said stepping up on stage. "I'm about to rock your world."
Jaclyn giggled. "I know you are, baby."
"I wasn't talking to you; I was talking to (name). But as of this moment I am talking to you. I would suggest resigning from your job."
"What?" Jaclyn took a step back. "Why?"
"Because if you don't," Tony held up a thick envelope. "I'll release these to the press. Go on, 'darling', take it." Jaclyn was white as a sheet as she climbed the stairs. She opened the envelope and let it's contents fall to the floor. "So, you gonna resign?" Jaclyn nodded. "Good girl."
"Tony?" You reached for the fallen envelope.
Tony grabbed your hand. "It's best if you don't touch that."
"But"
"Shush. Some stories are best left untold, as the Daily Bugle will soon know."
"What are you talking about?"
"I may have bought it."
"Why?"
"Isn't that obvious?" He spread his arms. "For you of course! It's what you've always wanted, to lead a news network, and now you own one!" You were about to question it when Tony continued. "I bought all the stock in your name of course, so while I may have paid it's technically not mine, but I could easily have it run for you if you like. You could do anything you want, write, be a anchor, tell everyone what to do, change the slant, hell, you could make them report exclusively on unicorns for all I care. And the best part is you'll never have to worry about money, your company will never go under with me backing it!"
"Tony, I--"
"It's not enough I know, that's why I brought you here, to give you one more thing. You're going to want to take the microphone, it's a scoop." He passed you the microphone. "Just look into the camera and go."
"This is (name) reporting for the Daily Bugle. We're here with Tony Stark who is about to make an exclusive announcement right here in the Stark Warehouses."
Tony stood at his podium and smiled. "In these past years we have seen a massive increase in villains and heroes with super strength. This has caused massive damage to the cities we call home, but not for much longer." He pulled down the curtain behind him. "Introducing Hulk-proof armor. A super suit that will allow the wearer to overpower any super strong person or creature. It will be in the hands of the government within the next few weeks. That is all." He walked away from the podium and out of the camera's range.

You swayed to the side, before swishing to the other side, an irritated look plastered onto your face.
"She's mine!" Tony, your boss, shouted to your right.
"Mine!" Tony retorted loudly from your left.
"Mine!"
Swish.
"Mine!"
Fwoosh.
After a few minutes, you sighed, your arms starting to hurt from all the yanking and pulling.
You liked working for Tony, just not when he makes an exact copy of himself.
You leaned back, breaking their grip from you.
"How about this," You started. "I'm mine, and mine only?"
They both exchanged glances.
"I'm afraid we can't," The first Tony spoke.
"Let you do that, (y/n)." The second finished.

Everything about tonight was a 'finally'. Finally your plane landed. And finally you found your bags. And finally you weaved through the crowd to find the person you were looking for. Because finally, you were going to see Tony again.
Tony Stark was a childhood friend of yours, and when you moved to Europe, you and Tony had lost touch. You had one night in New York before your next flight would leave for L.A., and Tony had offered to let you stay in Stark Tower, which was a much better alternative to even the finest hotel you could afford in New York. You weren't poor, but you weren't nearly as rich as Tony either. It's not like you co
