The next day you sat at your desk, spinning in frustration. You hadn't been given a serious opportunity in forever. A stupid gossip ball. And nothing since. You didn't go to journalism school for this.

"Everyone gather around!" Jameson yelled. Everyone stood and waited for the bomb to drop. "I am happy to announce that Jaclyn is going to be our new full time election correspondent." He wrapped an arm around her. She giggled and smiled.

You have to be kidding me. There was no way you were going to put up with Jaclyn being promoted over you. That was your position.

No. You told yourself. Just grin and bear it. Your time will come.

"Congratulations Jaclyn." You said holding out your hand for her to shake.

She looked at you incredulously. "Uk. Why don't you go get me a coffee. I'm a busy lead correspondent now; I can't go get my own."

You were dumb struck. "What?"

"You heard me. Get my coffee."

"That's not my job."

"(name)!" Jameson hollered. "Stop being obstinate and go get Jaclyn her coffee!"

"I quit." It came out as a whisper before you could even stop it.

"What!" He yelled.

"I quit." You said louder with more conviction. "I quit." You put your name tag in his hand. "Good day sir." You strutted out of the office proud of yourself for the first time in a long time. You picked up your phone and called Tony Stark.

"Hello, you have reached Tony Stark's life model decoy, please leave a message."

"Hello, Tony? It's me, (name), 'Miss Could-be-an-Eight'? Are…" You were cut off.

"Hello, I knew it was only a matter of time before you let your hair down and called me." Tony teased from the other side of the phone. "So, are you looking to have some fun?"

"Actually, I was wondering if you were still looking for an assistant."

"Are you applying?"

"Yep."

"Well, you already know what that drink I like is called. I'll try you out tomorrow. Be here by six am, Jarvis will let you in."
