Chapter 59
"Morning!" Cap beamed at you from the kitchen. "I'm making flapjacks! How many you want?"
"I'll have however many you're having." You flopped on the couch and flipped on the TV.
"Hello, this is CBS Sunday morning."
You reached for the flipper but the Cap said. "Oh, I love Sunday Morning. Keep it on, okay?"
"Alright."
"Excellent. Sit up, I'm bringing in flapjacks." Cap shuffled in next to you a plate of pancakes in each hand. You rolled up into a sitting position. "Good girl. Here you go."
You looked at your plate to see a stack of pancakes with a bacon smile and blueberry eyes. "You really like the whole 'food-with-faces' thing don't you?"
"What?" Cap took a bite of his bacon. "It's whimsical. And from what I hear you could use some whimsy right now."
"Yeah. I suppose you're right." You doused the whole plate in syrup.
"How are you holding up?"
"Fine." You lied.
Cap gave you a look that told you he knew you were lying but he said. "Good to hear, but if you need anything, you let me know. I'll take care of you."
"Thanks, Cap. It's real sweet of you."
"Don't mention it. I never could leave a damsel in distress." Cap cleared the plates. "Anything in particular you want to do today?"
"Nah."
"We'll just wander around town then."
"Alright, better get dressed." You went up to your room to get proper clothes on.

If tomorrow never comes (Steve x Reader) Part 9
2014, New York – a few months after the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D.
‘Steve?’ a whispering voice called out to him. ‘Wake up. We have to move before they find us again… Steve?’
A silent throb sent shots of pain through the super soldiers head as he slowly regained consciousness. He squinted his eyes, opening them slowly, holding his hand above his head to block out the sun.
‘He’s back,’ you cried out to someone behind you and Steve instinctively reached for the guns on his belt, only to realize Hydra had taken them – though useless anyway – from him. Everything slowly came b

"Come on, Cap! Don't make me pick your lock!" you shouted through the door, giving the hardwood another sharp rap with your knuckles. You balanced a bag of muffins, a cup holder of two large coffees, a tourist book for Washington DC and Steve's newspaper in one hand and knocked on his door with the other. "Cap!"
Finally, the door swung open and he stood there with one arm against the doorframe and the other dangling at his side, hair disheveled and face adorably clouded with sleepy confusion. You glanced down, noticed his lack of shirt, and immediately forced your gaze back up to his face. You grinned brightly. "Mornin', sunshine."

Superheroes (Steve x Reader)
In the silence of the dark night, rain filled clouds drifted over New York. The wind picked up and exclaimed her howling sighs. Raindrops started dripping on the roofs of all the buildings, spreading a relaxing melody through the empty streets.
Most people were already fast asleep, their soft snoring contributing to the melodic unity of sounds that penetrated your apartment. In the dim light of your computer screen, you were working on a project you had to finish before the next morning.
Your eyes started to feel heavy, but you couldn’t give in to the lingering sleep yet. Just a few more adjustments and you would be done. You rubbed y
